The city of Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City, bears witness to both the beauty and brutality of Vietnam's past. From the haunting memories of the Vietnam War to the resilience of its people, Saigon's streets are a testament to its complex history. Yet, amidst the chaos and uncertainty, there is a sense of hope and renewal that permeates through every corner of this city. The Mekong Delta, with its lush greenery and bustling markets, represents a new beginning for Vietnam, a symbol of its enduring spirit and unwavering resilience. As we immerse ourself in this captivating landscape, we are reminded that even in the face of adversity, beauty and hope can still be found.
Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our local guide and driver. After completing the check-in process at the hotel, take some time to relax and unwind. Spend the rest of the day exploring the vibrant streets of Ho Chi Minh City, admiring its captivating history, remarkable architecture, and diverse offerings.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
After your breakfast, our guide will collect you and transport you to:
- The Cu Chi Tunnels, which are located approximately 75 kilometers from the city center. Upon arrival, you will watch a documentary film, followed by a chance to view handmade weapon displays, including guns, landmines, and bamboo traps. You will then have the opportunity to explore the actual tunnels.
Afterward, we will return to Saigon.
In the afternoon, we will visit several notable sites in the city such as:
- The Former Presidential Palace
- The War Crime Museum
- The stunning Notre Dame Cathedral, the City Hall, the Municipal Theater, and Ben Thanh market.
Afterward, we drive to hotel and relax. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
- 08:00 Leave Ho Chi Minh city, enjoy the scenic journey along the National Highway bordered by green rice fields.
- Stop on the way to visit Vinh Trang pagoda.
- On arrived at My Tho, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank.
- Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden.
- Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand–rowed sampan under the shade of the water coconut trees along natural canals.
- Have a short cycling tour then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music”, performed by the locals.
- Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through fruit plantations and villages.
- Then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Breakfast at hotel. Then we will transfer you to the airport for your flight. Farewell and see you next time!
